Capturing the breathtaking beauty of a sunset at Reed's Rock, located along the iconic Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, on Christmas Eve was an unforgettable experience. As the sun dips below the Pacific Ocean, the sky transformed into a vibrant canvas of rich oranges, purples, and pinks, creating a dramatic backdrop against the rugged coastline and milky water from the ultra-long exposure.
Reed's Rock, a distinctive sea rock formation perched at the edge of the cliffs, adds a natural focal point to the composition. During the holiday, the scene takes on an even more magical quality. The cooler winter air and my festive spirit combined with the beauty before me was the best gift I could ask for. Shot with a 10-stop neutral density filter for the foggy water effect.
